Mr. Li’s primary practice areas cover privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, and AI compliance. He has extensive experience advising enterprises on internal data compliance audits, data protection programs for cross-border business expansion, and data compliance due diligence in investment, financing, and listing transactions.

With deep expertise in China’s data protection regulatory framework, Mr. Li focuses on data compliance assessments and risk analysis for data-intensive industries. He regularly advises on the design of data compliance and governance frameworks, cross-border data transfer assessments and SCC filings, as well as responses to regulatory inquiries and law enforcement actions. His clients span a wide range of sectors, including fintech, mobile internet, life sciences, autonomous driving, and privacy computing.

Mr. Li has also supported numerous Chinese enterprises in their overseas expansion across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, particularly in connection with the rollout and operation of AI-driven products and services. He frequently provides regulatory advisory and filing support for generative AI services, algorithmic recommendation systems, and deep synthesis technologies for leading technology companies.

In the context of investment, financing, and domestic or overseas listings, Mr. Li offers one-stop data compliance solutions. His work includes conducting data compliance due diligence, managing remediation of identified gaps, preparing targeted legal memoranda, advising on the applicability of cybersecurity review requirements, and assisting clients in responding to follow-up inquiries from stock exchanges and securities regulators.
