Fangda assists Nexans in completing the sale of its industrial cable division to Latour Capital

On June 30, 2025, Nexans, a France-based global leader in the electrification industry listed on Euronext Paris, announced that it has completed the sale of its industrial cable division to Latour Capital, a France-based private equity fund, for an aggregate enterprise value of EUR 525 million. This transaction represents a key milestone in Nexans’ strategy to refocus on its core electrification business.

The transaction involved complex and cross border share transfer arrangements in 11 different jurisdictions including the PRC and Hong Kong. Fangda worked closely with Nexans’ lead counsel and participated in the draft, review, revise and negotiation on the PRC and Hong Kong aspects of relevant transaction documents. Fangda also provided legal advice/analysis on the transaction structure from PRC and Hong Kong perspectives as well as potential government approvals involved in the transaction. Fangda also assisted in the closing of the transaction.

The Fangda team on this project was led by partners Peng Tan, Sushi Shi, Raymond Chan and Yan Zhao. Other team members also include counsels Leon Lu, Joyce Pei and Linlin Cao.
